"Mountain escape" - #dawndaysofmay - Dawn Days of May

inspired by my friends Nick Pumphrey and Mike Guest who came up with the idea of going out in the ocean every dawn in may and capture what comes across their eyes, I went out with my good friend Aline Bock as well and tried to capture the same beauty a dawn has in the ocean in the mountains. Its been really nice but also a mission as sunrise is so early, our alarm went of at 1:45 am . its soo worth it though to start a day on a mountain peak. Especially at home seeing the city down below you wake up.

For me loving the ocean and going surfing in the morning it almost felt like it. Just the mission you do getting up early but getting the reward. If its a mountain peak or a glassy ocean.. its both amazing.

Surfer Bianca Buitendag in the Mentawais.

I met Bianca through our same sponsor and we became good friends. Now we sometimes share some adventures. I end up filming her sometimes as those waves are on another level. It was amazing to watch her charge from so close. That was special session.
